Image registration using optimal transport - INSA Lyon

WebOptimal transport is nowadays a major statistical tool for computer vision and image processing. It may be used for measuring similarity between features, matching and averaging features or registrating images. However, a major drawback of this framework is the lack of regularity of the transport map and the robustness to outliers. Web(the template space) that will be adequate for the registration itself or for further processing (e.g. image analysis or image statistics). In order to nd this new latent common space, we propose to use Wasserstein barycenter[2] method based on the optimal transportation theory[5].
